Staff Accountant Needed

$18 - $25 an hour - Full-time, Part-time
We have an immediate opening for a full charge Accountant/Bookkeeper. This position may involve visiting our clients during their office hours and doing bookkeeping work in their offices at least a couple of days each week as well as work in our office on accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation and other related tasks.
We prefer a minimum of 3 years prior experience in accounting or finance. A college degree in accounting is not necessary if work experience and track record is solid.
Must be a self-motivated problem solver with the ability to perform and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-client, deadline driven environment. Strong attention to detail is necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a working understanding of financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, adjusting entries, payroll and payroll tax processing and income taxation. Must be able to function independently as well as be a member of a team.
Must be skilled in QuickBooks and MS Excel.
